Slimline Patio Tool
This super lightweight and agile tool is perfect for quickly going over your patio at any time of the year. At the beginning of the season, we recommend doing a deep clean of your patio to get it looking perfect for the summer. However, it can be a bit depressing to see the deterioration in the overall look this time of year and the buildup of leaves and debris.
These will start to break down on the surface and speed up the deterioration, and more importantly, create a slippery surface. A once-over with the Slimline Patio Cleaner will not only remove debris but will also remove the algae spores that will start to grow, leading to the green and slippery surface. You will also reduce the amount of work required in the spring to get your patio back to its best
To further reduce the soiling and greening, we would recommend you use this in conjunction with AVA Patio and Decking Cleaning used neat through the Foam Cannon included in the bundle.
Saving: The current cost for this to get an external contractor in to do this is up to £6 per square meter so with the average patio in the UK being around 30 square meters, that’s a saving of £180 per clean.
10 Meter Pipe Cleaning Hose
This accessory is not one you are going to use often, but when you have a blockage, you will be so pleased you have this to hand. On its own, this accessory is £89.90. It is not all about blockages with this tool.
After the fall, it’s a really good idea to carry out these two jobs. Leaves have a habit of getting everywhere and causing some real issues, so a once-through on all your drains and downpipes is a great idea.
Downpipes:
Downpipes can easily get blocked with small twigs and leaves, and the damage this can cause to your property should not be neglected. With water not flowing into your drains properly, the gutters won’t work properly and will back up. This will cause them to overflow, if not sorted out, rot and water ingress to your property can become a real issue.
All you need to do is simply attach the Pipe Cleaning Hose to the Zero Force Gun and put the nozzle end into the bottom of the down pipe, and pull the trigger. With a bit of help, the hose will propel its way up the pipe, dislodging any blockages on its way.
Drains:
Drains are very similar. Not the most pleasant job in the world, but much nicer to do without a blockage. Simply lift the drain covers and start from the lowest end, and fire the nozzle along the pipe. The process is the same if you have a blockage. Fire the nozzle up to the blockage and keep the water going. The spinning nature of the nozzle with macerate the blockage. Remember to keep the water flowing (trigger pressed) as you pull the hose back, as this will pull the blockage out.
Saving: Usually, with drain blockages, you will be looking at a call-out fee and the work to clear it on top of that. This all averages out at £350 per blockage, so having this tool in your arsenal could pay for the machine in one call out!
135 Degree Lance
Used in conjunction with the Pipe Cleaning Hose, you can really clean all your gutters. For low-down gutters, simply attach to your standard Zoom Lance, and there is no need for step ladders or steps; you can simply walk along the length of the gutter blasting out all the debris. The reasons for doing this are to allow the rainwater to flow away easily and reduce the risk of water ingress into your house. For the higher up gutters, you can use this lance in conjunction with the AVA Telescopic Lance.
Saving: The average price to have your gutter cleaned out is around £150 per call-out. This is a simple job to do with your pressure washer and the 135-degree lance
Suction Hose
This suction hose is 3 meters long and allows you to draw water from a pond, water butt or bucket, to name but a few. Fitted with a non-return valve, once your machine is primed, it will stay primed.
Admittedly, this is more useful in the summer months and useful if there’s a hosepin ban, but don’t discount this handy accessory this time of year. If you have sheds and outbuildings with gutters and downpipes that need clearing, it doesn’t require a lot of water to do this, and you don’t have running water at those sites, then it could be a real help to have this.
Saving: With the average cost of water in the UK at 0.025 pence per litre and the average size of a water but containing 190 litres of water, you could save £4.75 per tank of water. Over the year, this could really add to being a significant saving. With water prices set to rise over the next few years, we really advise embracing this approach
Microfibre Mop with Water Flow
Now, most people will associate this attachment with car cleaning, but it can be a little gem when it comes to window cleaning. With the sun lower in the sky this time of year, you can really start to see the dirt on windows.
Use a universal foam cleaner in the foam cannon that comes with this package and cover the windows. This alone won’t be perfect, but going over the surface and surroundings with the Microfibre Mop will agitate the chemical and loosen all the dirt. A quick rinse with the Vario Nozzle set in rinse mode, and you will be there. Wipe down with a microfibre to avoid water marks.
For higher up windows, you can use the same method, but you will need the AVA Telescopic Lance that reaches 4 meters, and you can also purchase different textured pads for the microfibre mop to dry the windows and stop the white marks.
Saving: Admittedly, it’s a bit more work than when you see your window cleaner come round, but it will save you £25 per clean, and you can do it at your leisure, plus you can do all the window surrounds and soffits at the same time.
First Aid Kit (for the machine, not you)
This is something you can store away, but is extremely useful when you need it. It does not contain sticking plasters, but it does contain all the little O-rings and small ware items that will eventually be needed to keep your pressure washer going in the long term.
Over time, O-ring filters and connectors will wear; it’s natural and the same for ALL pressure washers. This little kit will have all those common things to get you going when you want to start the important job.
Conclusion
A pressure washer is not just for Spring and Summer. There is a myriad of jobs you can do with them all year round. These jobs can cost a lot of money, but with an AVA Easy Super Bundle, you can carry out all the jobs yourself. The is certainly an investment that will pay for itself.
