AVA of Norway also makes use of services provided by 3rd parties for various services.


Here is an overview of subcontractors where the information mentioned earlier can be stored:
  • Zendesk for customer support
  • Crystallize for hosting of the online shop
  • Rambase for ERP and order flow management
  • Typeform for specific interactions (troubleshooting and warranty registration)
  • Vipps, Klarna, PayPal, and Stripe as payment solutions
  • Google Analytics is used for traffic analysis. IP addresses are not stored, but the pattern of visits is stored so that we can see which parts of the website receive traffic.
  • Trustpilot is used for sending, receiving and processing service and product review invitations on behalf of AVA of Norway. Trustpilot is a data processor for these purposes. AVA of Norway is the data controller for these purposes.


These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes specified.


To ensure the successful delivery of your purchases, we share necessary personal information with our trusted shipping partners. This includes your name, delivery address, and contact details, which are shared solely to fulfill your order and ensure its safe and timely arrival. Our shipping partners are required to handle this information in strict accordance with privacy laws and are permitted to use it only for the purpose of delivering your orders. We select these partners carefully and ensure that they adhere to high standards of data protection and privacy, both domestically and in any relevant countries to which your purchases are shipped.

The basis of our treatment of data

Information about name, address, telephone, e-mail address, and goods purchased is used to fulfill the purchase agreement. The basis for this treatment is Article 6 (b) of the Privacy Ordinance. Where you have consented, the information will also be used to provide you with information, offers and service in connection with your purchase via e-mail, telephone, and SMS. The basis for this treatment is the Privacy Ordinance Art 6 (a). You can at any time refuse to receive such information from us.

How will we use your data?

AVA of Norway collects your data so that we can:
  • Process your order, and manage your account.
  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like. Marketing emails will only be sent out if you've given us consent.

How do we store your data?

AVA of Norway securely stores customer data on servers located in the EU via a shared hosting environment. AVA of Norway respects EU law related to the proper handling of data being transferred elsewhere.

AVA of Norway would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you can click unsubscribe in the received emails, or contact our Customer Support team.

We will not send you emails without asking for consent.

What are your data protection rights?

We process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and applicable regulations. Please note that you can request access to and transfer of your own personal information, as well as request correction or deletion of information. Complaints can be made to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority about processing in breach of the rules.


Every user at our site is entitled to the following:
  • The right to access – You have the right to request AVA of Norway for copies of your personal data.
  • The right to recertification – You have the right to request that AVA of Norway correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request AVA of Norway to complete information you believe is incorrect.

What do we use cookies for:

Google Tag Manager


Google Tag Manager handles tracking codes and refers to tracking layouts and tracking for third-party solutions such as Universal Analytics (Google Analytics), and is used for website optimization, and marketing services. All tracking codes are run and managed via Google Tag Manager.

 

Google Analytics


This analysis tool is used to study traffic, usage patterns, and trends on our websites. The data collected is used to optimize the user experience and customize the content of the website. Google's policies for the use of Google Analytics do not collect personal information about you as a user. The data collected is stored on Google's servers. We store data such as movements on the website and certain actions (e.g., if you use a form). All information is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. 

 

Meta Pixel


Meta Pixel is used to control and measure the effect of advertising on social media. By tracking the actions, the user performs on the site, we are able to improve advertising campaigns, create smart audiences, and drive remarketing. Meta Pixel is used for Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, and the use of Meta Pixel therefore also covers these channels. These media analysis tools give us access to statistics where we get to know which pages have been visited as a result of an advertising campaign, and which actions have been performed (order/contact form). This information is anonymized.

Deletion of personal data

When you shop at AVA of Norway, we need the product, name, address, and email. This is necessary to be able to send your order to the correct delivery address, and to contact you if necessary. We are required to store the information in connection with accounting, tax handling, and any warranty/return handling. This history is not deleted. For security reasons, we also store the IP address used to register the order.


If you register a warranty on your product, or contact customer service, the conversation and information provided will be stored in our CRM systems so that we can help you more easily. if there should be anything on a later occasion.
