Yes, it is necessary. It is a common misconception that a high-pressure gun should be able to remain engaged on its own after activation. However, this isn't allowed for safety reasons. If the gun remains engaged and someone loses control of it, especially when using a turbo nozzle, it could quickly cause harm to people and animals. All high-pressure guns are equipped with a child safety lock (a) to prevent unintentional triggering. This function only locks the gun in the "off" mode.
AVA's gun, called ZeroForce (b), features reduced trigger resistance, but it stops immediately when you release the trigger, thus meeting all safety requirements.
